DRUM LESSONS WITH MAXWELL CLARK

ABOUT ME

The Full Story

Welcome to Maxed Out Beats! I am excited to have the opportunity to teach you how to play the drums. Whether you’re a beginner or are looking to level up your skills, I am here to help you achieve your goals! I offer music lessons PERSONALIZED to your goals, playing level, and style. I believe every drummer has their own beat and I’m here to help you create and master that! If you’re looking to play faster or just learn the basics, I’ve got lessons and a skill set to teach you whatever you want.

You might be wondering who the man behind Maxed Out Beats is… my name is Maxwell. I was born into a music-centric family. I grew up attending church where my dad, who is a bass player and singer songwriter, lead worship every Sunday.  As well, my older brother, who is a guitar player, would take me to rock concerts. It was only a matter of time before I found my instrument. My grandpa gifted me a Costco drum kit when I was 7, I’ve been playing ever since.

I grew up here in beautiful Bend, Oregon. I’ve played professionally since I was 11 years old. I’ve played drums for local bands like Precious Byrd, Casey and Co., and High Street Entertainment. I have also played with Russell Dickerson, Shannon Bex from Danity Kane and the infamous Franchot Tone. I’ve played at Jazz festivals, hundreds of weddings, as well as multiple corporate gigs. I have been apart of various worship bands at various local churches, such as, Compass Church for 6 years and Westside Church for now 5 years. I’m a drum teacher, serving students in Bend, Redmond, and Oregon - as well, online via Skype.

Music is my passion, and I love sharing this with others. Now Whose ready to get funky?!!

Here is a music video from one of many artist I have played with, Casey Parnell.

Max has been my son’s drum teacher for the past 12 months. He’s an amazing teacher/coach. My son’s progress has been fantastic. Max’s positive attitude is contagious. He shows up with a smile on his face and inspires my son on a weekly basis. The entire family looks forward to Max visiting.
My son looks forward to Max’s weekly lessons and often requests that we schedule more.
What I like about Max’s teaching style is that he teaches my son actual grooves and beats. He also goes out of his way to counsel my son on what he can do in his practice sessions to improve. He also suggested that my son learn to use a metronome which is crucial for a drummer. Max is kind and patient with my son. I trust Max implicitly with my son’s growth and progress and am grateful we found him. I would highly recommend him as a drum teacher/coach.
